GAME CHANGER! The University of St. Thomas-Houston is offering free tuition to eligible freshmen this fall

As part of its bold and newly launched St. Thomas Promise program, the University of St. Thomas-Houston (UST), a leading private Catholic university known for academic excellence, will offer FREE tuition and fees to eligible full-time freshmen admitted in Fall 2022. This groundbreaking opportunity, as the University itself, is open to students of all faiths.

Eligibility criteria

  • Freshmen with a high school GPA of 3.4 or higher* and from families with an annual income of $40,000 or less can take advantage of this offer.

  • Eligible students must complete the FAFSA form and be eligible for federal and state aid. UST FAFSA The code is 003654. This St. Thomas promise of free tuition also includes free tutoring services as well as a freshman mentor to help ensure a successful transition to college.

  • There are no application fees.

  • The St. Thomas Promise is renewable for up to four years, provided family income remains within the same qualifying range.

Why would UST give free tuition?
